Devastating Funding Gap
There is a devastating gap in our schools. A gap between what our children need for a quality, whole education and the dollars to provide it. Tigard-Tualatin schools could lose up to $17 million in funding for the next two years, due to the depressed economy. Each of the 15 schools will suffer—from the loss of talented, enthusiastic teachers; larger class sizes; and elimination or reduction of music, choir, PE, foreign language, art, after-school activities and high school athletics.
